DOWA LINE actively contributes to society in whatever way we can, in order to fulfil our responsibility to society and to develop together with it.
On 25 March, the anniversary of the company's foundation, DOWA LINE donated 10 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society to assist those affected by the disaster and to aid recovery efforts. DOWA LINE AMERICA cancelled the 30th anniversary ceremony and donated US$20,000, which was part of the ceremony costs, to the American Red Cross.
DOWA LINE and Sociber LTDA1. built a barge and donated it to the heavily damaged Juan Fernandez Islands (the model location for Robinson Crusoe) to aid reconstruction following the massive earthquake that hit Chile in South America in February 2010. In August 2018, DOWA LINE donated 3 million yen to Ehime Prefecture through the Ehime Bank Tokyo Branch to support people affected by the torrential rains in western Japan and to help rebuild the region.
Officers and employees also donated 104,073 yen.
On Saturday, 14 August 2021, at around 8.30 am, M7.2 earthquake struck the Republic of Haiti, in the Caribbean Sea of Central America. It caused extensive damage, with more than 2,200 people killed and many buildings, including hospitals, collapsed. DOWALINE donated 1 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society as reconstruction assistance to the affected local people.
Dowa Line had the honor of hosting “Charity Concert for Ukraine – For the Recovery of Art and Culture” on December 20 at Kioi Hall.
Donation from the Charity Concert for Ukraine held on 20th December 2022 was given to Dr. Sergiy Korsunsky, Ambassador of Ukraine. It amounted 8,953,943 yen thanks to those who came to the event for the good cause.
The company and our staffs donated 5,000,000 yen for the earthquake that occurred in Turkey and Syria on 6th February 2023 to His Excellency Mr. Korkut Güngen, the Ambassador of Turkey to Japan.
